- Hollywood Networking Breakfast

Sandra Lord, founder of The Hollywood Networking Breakfast® (HNB), is proud to announce that Todd Holland will take the hot seat for the Hollywood Networking Breakfast, on May 30th. The television and film director-writer-producer has established himself as one the industry's premier "go to" creative talents. His stellar work has garnered him multiple prestigious awards and nominations -- three Emmy Awards, a DGA award and six nominations, five Cable Ace Awards, eight Emmy nominations, and a WGA nomination. Todd's long list of credits reflects more than 150 episodes of television (including numerous pilots), feature films and short films. His episodic work spans the gamut of genres from GO ON, 30 ROCK and SONS OF TUSCON, to TWIN PEAKS and MY SO-CALLED LIFE to SHAMELESS, and from TALES FROM THE CRYPT to FRIENDS. As a producer/director, he was a key creative force behind classics like THE LARRY SANDERS SHOW, MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE and the critically acclaimed WONDERFALLS. Todd's feature films including Firehouse Dogs (starring Bruce Greenwood, Steve Culp, Mayte Garcia), Krippendorf's Tribe (starring Richard Dreyfuss, Jenna Elfman & Lily Tomlin) and The Wizard (starring Fred Savage, Christian Slater and Beau Bridges). Through DARK TOY ENTERTAINMENT (based at Universal), he most recently executive produced and directed the NBC comedy, Go On, starring Matthew Perry and is next set to direct a TV pilot, among other things. HBN was founded on the Paramount Studios Lot in 1993 by Sandra Lord, as a means to providing opportunities for industry professionals and emerging talent. - 75th Annual Memorial Day Observance

The City of Santa Monica's historic Woodlawn Cemetery, Mortuary & Mausoleum is hosting its 75th Annual Memorial Day Observance. Conceptual plans for a Commemorative Wall will be displayed. This Wall will honor Santa Monica Veterans who gave their lives in the line of duty. Other program highlights include patriotic music by The Santa Monica Oceanaires, a solo performance by Officer Shaun Dove, a Condor Squadron Missing Man Formation Flyover, and guest speakers. Parking for the event will be at Santa Monica College, Lot 6. A shuttle will be provided by TourCoach Charter to Woodlawn. No parking on site.

Eighteen-year-old Shira (Hadas Yaron) is the youngest daughter of the family and is about to be married off to a very promising young man of the same age. On Purim, her twenty-eight-year-old sister, Esther (Renana Raz), dies during childbirth, leaving her husband to care for the child and postponing Shira's promised match. When the girls' mother finds out that Yochay may leave the country with her only grandchild, she proposes a match between Shira and the widower, which leaves Shira to choose between her heart's wish and her family's wish to keep the child with them. Fill the Void was the 2012 Venice Film Festival winner for Best Actress (Yaron), and was the Israeli entry for the Best Foreign Language Oscar at the 85th Academy Awards. It was also featured in the Spotlight Program at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.
